Write about your first crush.
The first boy i remember having a crush on was Jonathan Brandis from SeaQuest DSV.
Jonathan Brandis was a boy, and as such, “a nasty ass little boy” according to my father. Boys were to be avoided, and would tease you or yank your braids if they liked you. They were mean. They were icky.
But Jonathan wasn’t just a boy. He was smart. And he was super cute. And he could talk to dolphins!! Surely that redeemed him!

Does anyone else remember this program from their elementary school days? I loved it! Always so proud of that little certificate after summer break.
Anyway….
In no particular order, 3 books:
The Mists of Avalon, Marion Zimmer Bradley – this book showed me what a strong woman looks like, and did so in such a way that I developed realistic expectations of the sacrifices involved.
Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins – this book proved that overcoming even the most impossible of challenges is possible with the right mindset, and sparked the hope that I could have the courage to overcome my own.
The Untethered Soul, Michael A. Singer – this book opened a door in my mind that I thought had been sealed shut years and years ago.

Do you remember life before the internet?
Do i remember reading maps to navigate, scouring encyclopedias for research, the card catalog, having to memorize phone numbers and addresses, and having to rely on books and actual conversation with other humans for entertainment/engagement?
Yes, i do.
As useful as the internet is, do i miss those days?
Yes, i do.
What are you good at?
In short? Solving problems. 😉
Have you ever broken a bone?
Yep.
I fell off stage during an improv skit and broke my elbow on the concrete floor. I guess i decided to run with a completely different take on the whole “break a leg” thing. 🤷♀️
What sacrifices have you made in life?
Holy loaded question, batman!
Seriously, how the hell is any normal person supposed to answer this? Granted, they’re not always life and death type sacrifices, but we all make sacrifices. Every day.
You sacrifice a few hours of sleep for chatting too late with someone you’ve been missing. You sacrifice going out to dinner to stay home and polish that big proposal for work. You sacrifice the decadence of your favorite desert in favor of losing that last 5lbs. You sacrifice your time, your desires, your energy/attention – all depending on what matters most to you in that moment.
And that’s not even considering the big sacrifices – the life altering ones. I think this question should be a little more specific, like asking about what big things you sacrificed in the past year. Just sayin. 😉
