Seriously though, what would the natural life span of humans be if we took no long-term medications, ate real, unprocessed food, and had reasonable access to quality emergency medical care if needed?

Etymologically? From Latin.
In reality as it pertains to me? It was my great-great-grandmother’s name. i am told that she was very special to my grandfather, and he called me “Laurie” in a letter he wrote to me before I was born. He didn’t even ask my parents what they were planning to name me! 😝

Why do humans enjoy proving each other wrong?

I would like to have a conversation with my subconscious mind, though I am not sure that anything it says will make sense. Is language even a possibility for the subconscious? It speaks in symbols and emotions, and without direct rationale. But, i would love to be able to try regardless.

Seriously, hear me out.
Dragons are vicious, intelligent, flying, fire breathing entities that hoard a human treasure – gold.
Dogs are viciously loyal, intellegent beings who sometimes have breath or gas that smells like it came from the depths of hell. And they, too, board treasure. Canine treasure, in the form of squeaky toys, bones, and tennis balls. And the rare, mythical, squeaky tennis ball? This is epic and sacred above any other canine treasure, to be guarded with much ferocity and courage and a complete disregard for the human hands that reach for it in an attempt to prolong the game of fetch. This game, of course, is a holy ritual for dogs, yet some are so dazzled by the mystical squeaky ball that they descend into the sin of destroying it!
Truly a sad state of affairs…
